THIKRA: Night of remembering

In *THIKRA: Night of remembering*, Akram Khan proposes a dance performance centered on a matriarch and her tribe, gathered on a night of sharing and evocation of their ancestors.

The piece intertwines collective memory, ritual, and transformation, following a journey that links past, ruins, and healing, until the return of the ancestral spirit to rest. The creation features an extended cast and is the result of the direction and choreography of Akram Khan, in creative collaboration with Manal AlDowayan.
