We Had Such a Beautiful House

Premiering, this creation by Krisálida and Esquiva Companhia de Dança follows a village by the sea where the harmony between community, animals and ocean is broken by the arrival of a project to transform the territory. Through puppets, images and visual poetry, the performance addresses the climate crisis, the memory of places and responsibility between generations.

Inspired by the photographic work of Gideon Mendel, it invites reflection on what is lost when nature is domesticated and on the possibility of a future when one learns to listen to the sea, the land and what came before.
