A Hug or a Little Kiss

The piece proposes an immersive journey through the cultural phenomenon of pimba music, treated here as critical and sensitive material. Three artists, white, European and cisgender men from different generations, expose body, text and music to question and broaden the meaning of masculinity. Rather than reinventing pimba, the performance confronts its codes in order to think about affection, power and symbolic violence. At the end, there is a conversation moderated by journalist Catarina Machado.
