Xullaji

Xullaji takes to the Palco António Variações with a show that crosses rap, sound design, poetry and image. With three albums released — “Rapresálias”, “Rapensar” and “Rapressão” —, he builds a body of writing with a strong political and aesthetic charge, linked to the cultures of resistance of hip-hop and African diasporas. In prétu, his latest esquizofonia, he proposes a sonic journey made of memories, samples and African references, in dialogue with electronic landscapes and an expanding pan-African diasporic thought. At the same time, he develops work in theatre and visual arts, in Portugal and in the United Kingdom.
