Cine-Teatro de Amarante is a municipal cultural venue on Avenida General Silveira, in Amarante. Opened in 1947 as a cinema, it was acquired by the Amarante City Council in 2000 and refurbished from 2019, reopening as a venue with regular programming. The main auditorium has 386 seats, including 8 places for people with reduced mobility. The building also includes technical control, dressing rooms, foyers, a cloakroom, public bathrooms and complementary spaces such as a bookshop/shop and a café/Piano Bar & Vinoteca. Programming is the responsibility of the municipality, through the Department of Culture, and includes theatre, music, dance, cinema and other artistic forms.
