A Quimera do Ouro – Film Concert - Cine-concert - 96'

On 5 and 6 February 2027, at 9:00 pm, and on 6 and 7 February, at 4:00 pm, Sala Manoel de Oliveira, in the mythical Cinema São Jorge, becomes a stage for timeless emotions with the cine-concert *A Quimera do Ouro*. In this unique experience, Charlie Chaplin's classic comes to life anew with a live performance by the Lisbon Film Orchestra, conducted by its Maestro Nuno de Sá, who accompanies every gesture, every laugh and every silence of the iconic tramp in search of gold in icy Alaska — and perhaps of an impossible love. With music composed by Chaplin and orchestrated by Timothy Brock, this film concert merges the beginnings of cinema and music in a memorable show that celebrates the genius of silent cinema with the power of live music.
