B.GERAL- 6th International Guitar Festival of Fundão

The Fundão International Guitar Festival returns for its 6th edition, establishing itself as a meeting point between cultures, aesthetics and generations of musicians. Over three days, the Moagem Auditorium hosts a programme featuring national and international artists, focused on chamber formations in which the guitar meets violin, flute, accordion, piano, double bass and other sounds. The opening is led by Duo Santos-Pons, followed by El Quinteto Furioso, a Portuguese ensemble bringing together guitar, violin, double bass, piano and accordion. On the second day, the bill continues with Duo Petersen & Svit, in a flute-and-guitar formation, Quarteto Mefitis and Quarteto Maurizio Mastrini. The closing programme features Duo Lucini-Fallon, Duo Origines and Trio Robin Nolan, in a selection that extends the festival’s focus on the guitar and its many instrumental combinations.
