Bohemian Betyars

Formed in 2009 in Miskolc, in northeastern Hungary, Bohemian Betyars are a sextet known for their contagious energy, irreverent humor and a sound that crosses ska, Central European punk and Balkan frenzy. The songs, often sung in Hungarian, blend fanfares, gypsy rhythms and string-driven melancholy in a style described as *speed-folk freak-punk*. On stage, the colorful outfits, improvised choreography and brass instruments draw the audience into a shared celebration, where dancing is also an act of resistance.
