Jazz Days ’26 | ABUNDÂNCIA – Maria João (PT)

Maria João presents Abundância, a new work that marks 40 years of career and returns to her roots, with recordings made between Mozambique and Lisbon. The album takes shape on stage with the presence of Mozambican local musicians and a choir that helps define the project's identity.

In this concert, Maria João's voice occupies the centre of a musical vision marked by expressiveness, emotion and collaboration with producer Luís Fernandes, described as the electronic hand behind the production. The lineup on stage includes João Farinha on keyboards and synthesizers, Texito Langa on drums, and a choir made up of Mariana Brissos, Mariana Ramos and Inês Almeida, in a show that brings together celebration, memory and contemporary creation.
