In Silence

Em Silêncio is an immersive creation that places the audience on the stage itself, very close to the performers, in an interplay between theatre, sound and image. The proposal revisits the 48 years of dictatorship in Portugal through documents and testimonies from people who lived through that period.

The performance draws on stories of people who were imprisoned for political reasons, who took refuge in France, who lived in hiding, and who fought for the independence of their countries in Africa. The experience includes live music and a large-scale projection, exploring the boundaries between cinema and theatre, reality and fiction.
