Harvest and Wine Festival

The Harvest and Wine Festival focuses on the historical, social, and economic importance of the vineyard in the municipality of Valpaços, linking agricultural work to the spirit of celebration and community fellowship. The initiative also revives the region's long-standing relationship with wine production, evoking the “vinho passum” mentioned by some historians and the wine-making tradition visible in wine presses and stone inscriptions scattered across the municipality.

The festival began in 2015, in the parish of Sonim, and moved in 2016 to Casa do Vinho, in Valpaços, a venue connected to the Regional Vitivinicultural Commission of Trás-os-Montes and to the interactive museum dedicated to the history of wine in the region.
