City and Municipality Festival

The City and Municipality Festival of Valpaços, a pilgrimage in honor of Our Lady of Health, brings together religious tradition and entertainment spread across the week leading up to the first Sunday of September. The program includes the transfer of the image to the Mother Church in a candlelight procession, the arrival of the music bands, street parades through the streets and the motor circuit of Valpaços. The central moment is the majestic procession of Our Lady of Health, which crosses the main streets of the city to the Sanctuary.
