Colombo Festival

The Colombo Festival invites you to go back in time and remember the Age of Discovery in Porto Santo, with the arrival of Christopher Columbus on the golden island as the starting point. The initiative involves students and teachers from local schools and turns Vila Baleira into a period setting, with a 16th-century market, dramatizations, stagings, acrobatics, juggling and constant street entertainment. Historical costumes mingle with those of visitors, reinforcing the atmosphere of reenactment experienced throughout the festival.
