Transport: Cargo highlights the pressing issue of the ever-growing volume of road traffic which, in recent years, has increased by up to 30%. The play takes us into the world of global trade, where speed and accessibility promote economic growth, but also bring negative consequences such as the overexploitation of natural resources, environmental pollution, and the violation of workers' rights. The story follows a truck driver under strong time pressure from his employer. Night brings a chance encounter, and morning ends with a shocking event that prompts us to reflect deeply on moral and ethical issues and, above all, on our responsibility in a hyper-consumerist, exploitative, and exhausting world. — Maribor Puppet Theatre
