Catarina Falcão Erma

In *Erma*, Catarina Falcão creates and performs a girl-puppet who inhabits an uncertain space between past, present and future. Lost in situations she does not recognize, the character moves through fragmented memories, in dialogue with objects that appear as her only companions.

The performance is built as a poetic and visual journey about loneliness in times of war, guided by an inner voice that brings micronarratives to the surface and by a path made of small encounters with herself and with other figures. The proposal brings together visual arts, material recycling and different scales of manipulation, in a work with a strong visual identity.

The creation is by Catarina Falcão, with text by Regina Guimarães, off-screen voice by Rosa Afonso, Amarante Abramovici and Catarina Falcão herself, music by João Grilo and lighting design by Mariana Figueroa.
