Francisca Carvalho

On view at MAC/CCB, Francisca Carvalho’s solo exhibition presents a wide range of works on paper, collages, drawings, patterns, texts, paintings and textiles. The exhibition highlights visual narratives built from symbols and signs from different geographies, as well as the research developed by the artist in India, in the regions of Rajasthan and Gujarat. The show also includes references to traditional pattern-making techniques, natural dyes, kalamkari, hand-block printing and experiments with glass. Curated by Sara Di Chiara.
