In *Héritage*, Cédric Eeckhout takes the stage with Jo Libertiaux, his mother, to reconstruct her story and turn it into performance material. Starting from the life of a woman born in 1945 — divorced, mother of four, hairdresser and later actress — the creation blends intimacy and fiction to speak about female emancipation, masculinity, family inheritance, and the social and political changes experienced across several generations.

The performance stages an encounter between mother and son in which both voices intertwine, with room for emotion and humor, in a portrait of what is passed down from generation to generation and of the possibilities for the future in a world marked by crises and by persistent forms of racism and sexism.
