The staging of *Marquesa de Sade*, based on the translation by Maria João Brilhante, brings to the stage six female figures caught in a power struggle marked by the presence of Marquês de Sade.
Written by Yukio Mishima in the 1960s, the play explores desire, power, guilt and amorality, in a confrontation of female voices that brings the performance close to the refinement of Nô theatre. At Teatro São Luiz, it is presented in several sessions between 23 June and 11 July.
