about the event
*asses.masses* is a live participation proposal in which the audience plays, one person at a time, in a video game designed to take place on stage over a single session of about eight hours. Created by Patrick Blenkarn & Milton Lim, the experience mixes performance and game to follow a group of unemployed donkeys in their struggle to recover their jobs in a post-industrial society. The session includes four breaks with food and drink and features strobe lights. The show also addresses themes of mental health, suicide, police brutality, and sexual representations.
