Practices• Wura Moraes - Memory in Choreographic Process

Originally from Amarante, I have been developing my choreographic work between Atlantic bridges. A graduate of the Angel Vianna Faculty (Brazil), I trained at École des Sables (Senegal), EDIT (Burkina Faso), and FAICC (Portugal). In Bahia, together with Loke Wolf, I developed the research tool Autodança. Currently, Confluências is my major project, in tribute to my father Mário Calixto and my uncle Miltércio Santos, intertwining processes of memories inscribed in the body, archives, death, displacement, and rhizomatic identities.
