Visit to Casa Gafanhoa

Casa Gafanhoa opens its doors for a visit that presents an example of the typical construction of a farmhouse from the region, built in 1929 and linked to the family of Virgílio Ribau and Maria Merendeiro Filipe and their three children, Rafael, Ulisses and Adérito.

The experience takes the public through the various preserved rooms, including the courtyard, the granary, the cattle pen, the stable, the bedrooms, the master’s room, the dining room and the kitchens of the house and the oven. Management and visits are handled by the Ethnographic Group of Gafanha da Nazaré, and are usually held on Wednesday afternoons, by prior appointment.
