Nocturne(Parade) [Noturno (Desfile)] begins with a gust of wind that sweeps through the space — the same breath that creates an invisible link between us. Anthropomorphic puppets and inflatable landscapes are what we can see, while we humans are simultaneously the creators and anchors of reality. In this “parade”, life and death are on stage, before us. These eternal adversaries, entangled in their endless dance, reveal themselves both in the victims and in the executioners, in the enslaved and their masters, in the parents, the children, the horses and in a long procession of skeletons and flags. Plunged into darkness, the audience is invited to live a sensory experience, to feel before seeing, to cross a tunnel and finally find the light. — Phia Ménard / Compagnie Non Nova
